David Caleb Crosby was never convicted of anything. His charges were dismissed. FACT: Crosby, 35, of Phoenix, Arizona, was not arrested until December 2024 — nearly four years after January 6. He turned himself in. (azfamily; KOLD; DOJ) FACT: He was charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct; and an act of physical violence on Capitol grounds. Those are allegations from a charging document. He never went to trial and never entered a guilty plea. (DOJ press release) FACT: In January 2025, following the presidential proclamation on January 6 offenses, the charges against him were dismissed. (Herald/Review, Cochise County) Charged in December. Cleared in January. He never had his day in court because the case ended before it started — and under American law he stands unconvicted. FACT: He is the son of Cochise County Supervisor Tom Crosby. (Herald/Review) NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: The specific conduct described in the government's charging document has not been tested by any trial, jury, or plea. We publish it here as an allegation only, because that is all it ever became. Four years of waiting for a knock that came in December 2024 and a dismissal five weeks later. THE CASE RECORD Court: U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Docket: Charged and arrested December 2024. Charges dismissed January 2025 following the presidential proclamation on January 6 offenses. No conviction. This profile is unclaimed.
