Edward McAlanis is a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania man who gave his time to his community as chairman of the East Cocalico Township Recreation Board, the volunteer job of ballfields, parks, and neighborhood kids. He was 41 when the FBI knocked in July 2021. What followed cost him plenty. By the time he stood in front of the judge, Edward McAlanis had lost his job and was delivering pizza to make ends meet.
