Jia Liu is a United States Marine — a Queens, New York man who enlisted in 2014 and served as a corporal in the Marine Corps Reserve, working as a cyber network operator with a communications battalion in Brooklyn (FACT, Queens Daily Eagle / Law&Crime). He is a Little Neck, Queens resident whose January 6 case was misdemeanor-level from the start (FACT): Jia Liu was charged with four misdemeanor counts — no violence was alleged in the Capitol case — and he resolved it with a guilty plea on October 20, 2022. On January 20, 2025, the presidential proclamation granted full pardons to individuals convicted of offenses relating to the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
