Thaddis Johnson Jr. was living in Fresno, in California's Central Valley, when federal agents came for him more than sixteen months after January 6, 2021. (FACT - DOJ defendant page.) He is one of a small handful of California Central Valley residents charged in the January 6 cases. Most of the country never heard his name. His neighbors did. THE LEGAL FIGHT. A complaint was filed May 23, 2022 and Thaddis Johnson Jr. was arrested May 26, 2022. An information was filed June 28, 2022. He pleaded guilty August 10, 2022. On December 19, 2022 he was sentenced to 24 months of probation, 60 days of home confinement, 60 hours of community service, and $500 in restitution. No prison sentence. (FACT - DOJ defendant page and court record.) On January 20, 2025, the January 6 clemency proclamation issued full pardons for offenses connected to the events at or near the Capitol.
